Paul George made three free throws to tie it with 5.2 seconds left in regulation, then scored nine of his season-high 35 points in overtime as the Indiana Pacers pulled out a 103-96 victory Wednesday night over the New York Knicks, who dropped their sixth in a row at home.
New York scored the first 13 points, and Carmelo Anthony had 30 points and 18 rebounds, but the Pacers bounced back from their first loss after a franchise-record 9-0 start.
at Dallas 123, Houston 120: Monta Ellis scored 37 points, Dirk Nowitzki had 35 and the Mavericks rallied from a 17-point deficit to remain perfect at home. Dwight Howard scored 33 points, making his first 11 shots.
at Charlotte 95, Brooklyn 91: Kemba Walker scored a season-high 31 points and the Bobcats handed the turnover-prone Nets their sixth loss in seven games.
Portland 91, at Milwaukee 82: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 21 points, Damian Lillard had 17 and the Trail Blazers completed a four-game Eastern sweep and won their eighth in a row overall.
Washington 98, at Cleveland 91: Bradley Beal scored 26 points and Nene had 24, and the Wizards held off Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers. Irving scored 18 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter.
Miami 120, at Orlando 92: Dwyane Wade didn't play again, but LeBron James scored 21 points and handed out seven assists as the Heat won its fifth in a row.
Toronto 108, at Philadelphia 98: In a down year so far in the Atlantic Division, the Raptors (5-7) wrested away first place from the 76ers (5-8) as DeMar DeRozan scored 33 points and Rudy Gay had 18.
at Atlanta 93, Detroit 85: Paul Millsap, signed in the off-season to replace Josh Smith, had 19 points to steal the spotlight in Smith's return to Atlanta. Smith had 11 points for the Pistons.
at New Orleans 105, Utah 98: Anthony Davis had 22 points, nine rebounds and eight blocks, and the Hornets handed the Jazz its 12th loss in 13 games. Gordon Hayward made one of 17 shots for Utah.
at San Antonio 104, Boston 93: Tony Parker scored 19 points and the Spurs won their eighth in a row overall and improved to 5-0 at home. The Celtics had 17 turnovers and lost their fifth in a row.
Sacramento 113, at Phoenix 106: DeMarcus Cousins overcame a sore shoulder to score 19 points and grab 12 rebounds, leading the Kings to their first road win.
Memphis 88, at Golden State 81 (OT): Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol combined for 39 points and 23 rebounds to power the Grizzlies to their 11th win in a row over the Warriors, who played without Stephen Curry.
