Trail Blazers beat Thunder in battle of West titans

LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and 14 rebounds Tuesday night, and the Portland Trail Blazers rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder, 98-94, in a showdown of Western Conference heavyweights in Oklahoma City.

Damian Lillard had 21 points and 11 assists and hit a pair of clinching free throws with 2.1 seconds left for Portland, which beat Oklahoma City for the second time in December. Portland (25-7) snapped a two-game losing streak but still trails Oklahoma City (25-6) by a half-game in the Western Conference standings, as well as in the Northwest Division.

Kevin Durant had 37 points and 14 rebounds for the Thunder, which had won 12 of 13 and 20 of its last 22 games before Tuesday. But Durant managed only one point in the fourth quarter and missed an 11-foot jumper that would have tied the score in the final seconds.

Sacramento 110, at Houston 106: Rudy Gay had 25 points and DeMarcus Cousins took over late in the fourth quarter as the Kings (10-20) surprised the Rockets (21-13). Sacramento trailed by three points before Cousins scored four quick points to make it 105-104. He then stole the ball from James Harden and passed to Ben McLemore for a layup. On the next play, Cousins took a charge from Harden, who finished with a season-high 38 points.

at Indiana 91, Cleveland 76: Paul George scored 21 points, Roy Hibbert had 19 and the Pacers used a dominant fourth quarter to blow out the Cavaliers for their fifth consecutive victory. Indiana beat Cleveland for the eighth straight time, its longest active streak against any opponent, and improved to 25-5, the NBA's best record. Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving injured his left knee in the third quarter was scheduled to have an MRI exam Wednesday. Cleveland has lost six straight.

Golden State 94, at Orlando 81: David Lee had 22 points and Klay Thompson scored 15 for the Warriors, who won their sixth in a row.

at San Antonio 113, Brooklyn 92: Tony Parker had 18 points and the Spurs rolled past the listless Nets. Brooklyn's Kevin Garnett was held to two points and failed to make a field goal for only the second time in his 19-year career and the first time since 1996.

Atlanta 92, at Boston 91: Paul Millsap had season highs with 34 points and 15 rebounds, and the Hawks rallied past the Celtics.

Toronto 85, at Chicago 79: Jonas Valanciunas scored 15 points and the Raptors surged late to beat the Bulls.
