New and recent works by director Robert Wilson, artist Matthew Barney and avant-garde musician John Zorn are among the highlights of the new 2014-15 season of the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA.

The lineup, which was announced Wednesday, also includes a presentation of rarely seen films by Andy Warhol and dance productions from the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and SITI Company, as well as from Israel's Batsheva Dance Company.

The performance series known as CAP UCLA -- which replaced UCLA Live in 2011-- brings theater artists and musicians from around the world to Los Angeles. The series is headed by Kristy Edmunds, who serves as executive and artistic director.

"The Old Woman," directed by Wilson and starring Mikhail Baryshnikov and Willem Dafoe, will be presented at Royce Hall (Nov. 14 and 15). The production is being presented this summer at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and has already been seen in Europe, including at the Manchester International Festival.

Barney's experimental art film "River of Fundament" will have its West Coast debut at Royce Hall (April 25, 2015). Known for his bizarre "Cremaster" cycle of films as well as for his performance-art pieces, Barney has collaborated with musician Jonathan Bepler to adapt Norman Mailer's novel "Ancient Evenings."

The time-hopping work visits ancient Egypt and features a cast that includes Maggie Gyllenhaal, Paul Giamatti and Ellen Burstyn.

Zorn will present a series of performances on May 2 at different venues, including 12 sets that will take place over a course of six hours in galleries at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The same day, he will perform an evening concert and a midnight organ recital at Royce Hall.

Fifteen rarely seen films by Warhol will be presented at Royce Hall (Oct. 24). The films will be accompanied by live instrumental performances.

"A Rite" (March 6 and 7, 2015) is a dance collaboration between Bill T. Jones and Anne Bogart and their respective companies, the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and SITI Company.

The Batsheva Dance Company will present a piece titled "Sadeh21" (Nov. 1 and 2) as part of its 50th anniversary tour.

The new season will also include appearances by acclaimed puppeteer Ronnie Burkett, pianist Vijay Iyer and dancer Kyle Abraham. A full lineup of the new season is available at CAP UCLA.
