A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Tuesday evening two miles from The Geysers, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:49 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 mile.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 13 miles from Healdsburg, Calif., 14 miles from Clearlake, Calif., 17 miles from Windsor, Calif. and 71 miles from Sacramento, Calif.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
