A shallow magnitude 3.1 earthquake was reported Monday morning six miles from Bishop, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:15 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 3.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 73 miles from Dinuba, Calif., 74 miles from Sanger, Calif. and 74 miles from Reedley, Calif.
In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
